Battle of Svensksund
Game EngineHistory3DMuseum
The Battle of Svensksund, fought in 1790, was the largest naval battle in Nordic history — over 500 vessels, tens of thousands of men, the fate of two empires decided in a single day. It has never been easy to picture.
Built in a game engine as a pre-visualisation for a museum exhibition, this work reconstructs the battle as a real-time cinematic environment: the fleet formations, the scale, the chaos made legible. Where static diagrams and period paintings reach their limit, a navigable 3D space begins.
